Kronva, a data management technology specialist, was approached by the Spot-Ship team to collaborate on the building of its Digital Broking Assistant (DBA), which is a dynamic and agile shipbroker management platform which utilises machine learning to allow bulk cargo shipbrokers to manage their entire customer and shipping fleet portfolio with minimum effort, delivering all the information they need to operate and expand their businesses on a single digital platform.
Spot-Ship CEO Henry Waterfield said “Spot-Ship’s vision is to digitise as many of the administration tasks of shipbroking as possible, freeing up more time for the broker to generate new business and build on their existing client relationships”. Digitalisation and ease of use make the Spot-Ship DBA platform the best in class, allowing users to make much faster decisions.
It’s already been a busy year for the Spot-Ship founders, CEO Henry and CFO James Kellett. So far the team has carried home the Patrick Turner prize at the 40th INSEAD International Venture Competition in July; the first beta release of DBA went live this summer; and they are in advanced discussions with venture capital firms — all this whilst both building the Spot-Ship management team and growing the customer base.
James commented “Spot Ship enables brokers to find the perfect ship for a cargo in minutes, compared with a manual process that used to take days of administration. The platform learns from the data it acquires and becomes even more effective over time. Kronva have helped us deliver our vision.” Spot-Ship are actively seeking new customers to trial the new subscription based platform.
Evans went on to say “Kronva’s expertise in data management, AI and Machine Learning platforms mean that we can automate processes, help generate revenue from customer’s IOT data, and give them the competitive edge they need to thrive in today’s challenging business climate.”
In addition to logistics, Kronva works across many industry sectors including financial services, fintech and energy.
The company is always willing to hear from customers and firmly believes that its intelligent solutions can help customers realise, build and support their digital ambitions.
